Pre-booked groups are always very welcome on the Wensleydale Railway.
Within the scope of our timetable, we are happy to provide any type of group travel package to suit your needs.
For groups of ten or more people, special discounts apply. These vary according to the number in the group and the time of year, but can offer substantial savings on our standard fares.
We also cater for school visits and we have a number of educational information sheets that can be used to get the most out of the visit.
For larger groups, you can book an entire coach, or even charter a whole train!
Our four most popular group trips are detailed on our Ideas for Groups page and for your convenience are summarised in the attached table. However, any trip – one way or return – is possible. In all cases, with prior booking, we can offer light refreshments on the train to groups.
Leeming Bar is close to the A1 and free coach parking is available at both Leeming Bar and Leyburn stations. Access between coaches and platforms at both stations is step-free. There are toilets at or near both stations (although we do not yet have any wheelchair-accessible toilets).
